What a long, strange trip it's been!
TransGroup Worldwide Logistics was founded by a group of experienced industry professionals with a single vision - to create the most innovative transport logistics system available. Then, to keep us looking and moving forward, we conceived a mission statement for the ages - 'TransGroup. The Future of Transport Logistics.'
1986
Our first Logistic Center was opened in Seattle, Washington with a focus on the development of international business through the formation of key international partnerships. Today, these partnerships have evolved into a network of more than 150 Worldwide Alliance Stations, with annual group revenues exceeding $1.3 Billion (USD), enabling us to offer our customers truly global logistics service.
1989
We entered the North American domestic market, opening logistics centers in key strategic locations to provide transportation and logistics services across all industry segments. The success of this domestic division has rivaled that of it's international counterpart and currently produces about half of our annual gross revenue. Today our North American footprint stands at nearly 40 logistics centers.
TransTech, our information-technology division was formed. The mission of TransTech is to create unique and advanced workflow management tools designed to integrate worldwide data into useable formats for our customers and personnel. All TransTech tools are created and supported in-house by our resident programming and tech-support staff.
1994
Our technology and experience in servicing certain industry segments was becoming so dialed-in that we began developing specialized service divisions to provide industry-specific logistics solutions. Today, these divisions include: TransAid, TransFashion, TransFilm, TransFurniture, TransMarine, TransPharma, TransProject, TransTravel and TransTelecom.
